So it begins...
I knew this year was going to be stellar when the principal opened up training one day by saying, "We have 88% of graduated students enrolled in college! Now we just need to work on that other 22%!!!"
True to form, the first day did not disappoint. Many students enrolled in my Spanish one class already spoke Spanish. WHY do we do all this testing only to have this happen every single year? How is it that difficult?
On my planning period, my class filled up and a substitute walked in. Evidently my planning time can't be in my room, even though that's where my computer and planning materials are... go figure. Did I mention I have 40 kids per class?
As usual, most are respectful and eager to learn. However... some... are not. Exhibit A (keep in mind this is the FIRST DAY):
