FURIOUS
So over the weekend, my friend who works at a soccer store gave me some really big, great quality posters of soccer stars. I immediately set them up in class and had the students label them to practice parts of the body. They were a huge success.
This morning I came in and was teaching as usual. Suddenly I realized that part of my wall that is usually covered with projects and posters was really bare. I was incredulous and sort of stood there a minute til the students said "what?". The biggest poster was gone.
Freaking out, I went downstairs to ask the janitor lady who usually cleans my room if she had seen anything. She said that yesterday a different janitor had cleaned my room, and... wait for it... had a "student helper." I've seen these "helpers" around before, they are the students who loiter the hallways until 6:00 at night and who the administration gives "jobs" so that they can feel they have a purpose. The lady janitor suggested I check with the youth action (discipline) center to see if they have video surveillance from yesterday. I did. The video takes about 20 minutes to load so the officer sent me back to my room with the promise that she would let me know if she saw anything.
Words can't really articulate my disappointment and anger right now. My brand new poster and teaching tool is gone because someone let a delinquent student into my locked room. KJFDSL;AFJD JDO; AFJDIOAJFSKLA
