Well, not one single response to my email despite sending it to several people.  I think I'll request a meeting with the building supervisor. 

For your entertainment I have taken pictures of my "curtains."  This student wanted to be a model of the glamorous couture. 

Also, here's an example of a desperate attempt at partial credit.  Originally I thought this student had completely made up a word.  I think in the end he just misspelled "dorm."  In any case, I giggled.
